April 26th, 2009 BROTHER DOWN Benefit Run Colorado Springs, CO On Thursday, February 19th, Matt Gahm was hit by a drunk driver in a Suburban. He was transported to Memorial Hospital and has undergone several surgeries. Due to the severity of his injuries, his left leg was amputated 8 inches above the knee. His pelvis was fractured and he suffered multiple internal injuries. He also suffered fractures to both hands and right wrist.
Matt is working very hard on his recovery and is staying in good spirits but with a long recovery period ahead with lots of rehabilitation. He will be unable to work for a very long time and may never be able to return to his profession.
Ride starts at American Motorcycles at 6314 E. Platte Ave. In Colorado Springs. Registration starts at 9:00 AM with the first bike out at 10:00 AM. $10.00 per rider & $5.00 per passenger. For more information, call Richie 719-896-0464 or Teresa 719-205-3577.
