HOLIDAY HOPE”

The holidays spring forth yet another year;

Peace, Goodness, Mercy, Merry Christmas our cheer.

We send cards and wrap packages in the hopes that we can,

Spread hope, Happy Holiday Tidings throughout all the land.

All this we attempt with hearts all too heavy

That our military families are missing somebody.

We try very hard, even pretend, put on airs,

This Holiday Season goes off without cares.

We try to hide all our fears and depressions,

Holiday Spirit we’ve learned are still our missions.

Not everyone feels all the sorrow we feel.

Holidays come and go and we strive to stay real;

For those still around us so they don’t see or share

The hearts so full of heaviness we just cannot bare.

Those who might see the true feelings of need

Won’t understand how we feel for our seed

Who is now overseas or in some far off land,

Following orders in hot zones as is their command.

Hate, war and fighting take no holidays;

And neither do our Prayers that we pray all the days.

God please watch over our Loved Ones far from home

And maybe next time to the family table they’ll too come.

In the meantime protect, keep, watch over them all,

For the sake of safety, prosperity, don’t allow one more to fall.

This is our Prayer every night, every day;

It shall continue to be our way.

We handle it all, the melee of feelings,

To help keep us going as our hearts keep reeling.

To our troops far from home:

THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!

May the end of it all be soon, a success.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO AMERICA’S HEROES

REMAIN STRONG--STAY SAFE

WE SUPPORT YOU--WE AWAIT YOUR RETURN
