Saloon No. 10 - Limited Edition Fine Art Print
By David Mann - Published 2004

Dave calls this piece his “homage to the gunslinging ghost of Wild Bill Hickock, another forefather of the American biker.”

Hickok is a fitting addition to the Ghost Rider Series, appearing here as a transparent phantom astride a spirited horse. Hickok distinguished himself as a Union scout and spy, and a U.S. marshal and a marksman on tour with Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show. Nearby, astride his metal mount, is the living embodiment of Hickoks’ legacy – the American biker.

Behind Hickok and his descendant is the watering hole in Deadwood, South Dakota, where in 1876, so the story goes, Wild Bill was shot in the back as he sat at a card game. Next time you make the trek to Sturgis, ride the few miles to Deadwood and knock down a brew in memory of a true American legend.
